The Heide observatory is self made and to be located in my garden. The main goals when designing this observatory was to make it comfortable for one person for viewing and for CCD imaging.

   
     
   
     
     

The size of the observatory I decided on was approx. 2 m x 2 m. My scopes and mount are attached on a concrete pier, wich consist of a drainpipe, cement and construction steel. The roof rolls off to the West of the building, with the door on the South.

My sky is filled with the skyglow of near towns and neighbor's lights. The limiting visual magnitude on an average night is about 5,5 magnitude.
